A: NYS licensed psychologist. NYS certified school psychologist. Practicing for over 20 years, working primarily with adolescents and adults. Dr. Shatz has also been an adjunct college professor, and has had original research articles published in peer-reviewed psychology journals.

Q: How are video conferencing sessions conducted?

A: Video conferencing is conducted using a secure, HIPAA compliant video-service. Simply click on the emailed link with any device that has a microphone and camera (e.g., tablet, smartphone, laptop).

Q: Does Dr. Shatz take insurance?

A: Currently the plans I accept are Aetna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and Optum. For those who do not have those plans, I will work with clients to arrive at reasonable fees. Remote sessions are typically less expensive than face-to-face sessions due to there being no overhead expense of an office.
